Les Crosby Memorial Lauch Pad presents: Jake Ellevsen & Jaden Spence

When we asked Jake & Jaden to define their duo, their first answer was “two long haired, scruffy guys who love music!”. The “long haired” bit clearly shows in their photos; and the passion they show when playing their music clearly demonstrates their love for it.

Jaden Spence (18yo) holds a Diploma of Music from Wollongong TAFE and teaches guitar at Stella Studios in Nowra. Jacob (Jake) Ellevsen (19yo) teaches guitar privately, and also plays in a Wollongong band called the Zilzies; together with some Jazz students at the Wollongong Conservatorium of Music.

They love travelling, living in their vans on road trips, producing good vibes when playing live! and overall, they just want to have a good time. Their goal is to record a few albums and tour around Australia.

Their music is really earthy, beachy; they like to lock-in to grooves and get really funky. Jake’s lead guitar playing is really inspired by Eddie Hazel from Funkadelic and David Gilmour from Pink Floyd. They love the sounds of Peter Green from Fleetwood Mac; and Artists like Xavier Rudd + John Butler. Jaden was introduced to Jazz while studying at Wollongong TAFE, and they definitely have some elements of Jazz in their music.

We look forward to hearing Jake & Jaden perform at our event this Sat 19th Aug 6:30pm at the Shoalhaven Heads Community Centre. A few tickets are still available, contact Berry Music Centre on 4464-1284 or SouthCoastTickets.com.au to buy yours.
